TOO SWEET!!! (…but not this time)
If we had to pinpoint the one thing that keeps us from loving a barbeque seasoning a lot of the times, it’s the fact that it is far too often – TOO DARN SWEET……and that is why we feel the need to applaud Popcorn, Indiana for this one!!!
In fact, these Classic BBQ chip’ins may just be the most complex barbeque flavored chip we have encountered in our chip-ful lives! All of the usual characters are present, you have tomato, garlic, pepper and some smoky paprika, but beyond that there is this beautiful underlying-citrus-sour-twang depth going on that just makes our mouths water thinking about it! We truly cannot convey with words the uniqueness of this barbeque flavor….
For any of you out there who haven’t yet tried Popcorn, Indiana’s chip’ins variety of chips, be prepared for something new to your mouths. Chip’ins, as far as we can tell, seem to be a hybrid blend of popped popcorn chips, pressed and cut into triangles, similar to a lot of tortilla chips. The chips are addictive, with a light, crunchy, almost rustic texture. If you still can’t picture what we’re saying, think: popcorn, smashed, stuck together and then cut into triangles.
