If you’re a regular around these parts, then you know that we’ve already told you all about Chip Review’s favorite Sour Cream & Cheddar Cheese Chips (and you’ve told us yours). So, when we taste any new bag of chips, we always wonder if these could possibly be the chips that crack the list and knock one of our favorites off of our lauded Top 5…..
Well, as it so often happens, those aforementioned new chips, end up being yet another inferior variation of a flavor of chips that already has a great many better alternatives to choose from. Dakota Style’s Sour Cream & Cheddar Cheese Potato Chips are yet another fairly greasy potato chip from Dakota Style.
These chips certainly weren’t Dakota Style’s greasiest by any means. The seasoning, as a whole, was very subtle. The sour cream aspect was definitely more creamy than tangy, and we predominantly tasted cheddar cheese flavoring more than anything on these chips. In fact, these chips had a very heavy and tasty coating of cheddar cheese seasoning, but not a tangy cheddar but more of a smooth mellow cheddar.
Not sure what happened to this bag of chips but the majority of the potato chips had been crushed into small crumbs, which made it tough for us to really judge the potato chips themselves. **But, the second bag we tried had whole potato chips, and they were crispy and tasty.
As always, these are our thoughts, we would love to hear what you think. Agree or disagree, let us know.
