Uncle Ray's - Green Onion Potato Chips

Comments:

We wish we had an uncle who made potato chips.  How cool would that be?  We’d be like, “Hey Ma, we’re heading over to Uncle Ray’s to have some potato chips!!  No, don’t think we’ll be hungry for dinner, we’re pretty sure Ray has a new flavor he wants to test out on us!!”  We can dream……

Uncle Ray’s potato chips are very thin.  We’re talking see your own hand through the paper thin, or crumble in your fingers if you even think of using us to scoop up some dip thin.  However, the good news is that they still exhibit a lot of light, crispy texture.  They range in size from medium, to medium-small, and have a tiny bit of greasiness to them.

If you are a fan of sour cream & onion chips then you would most likely enjoy Uncle Ray’s Green Onion potato chips.  The onion flavor is definitely upfront and onion-y, but not very overbearing, or overly pungent.  Despite not having the sour cream aspect to smooth out the onion harshness, these chips really worked.  Almost everyone at Chip Review thought they were very flavorful, light and eatable.

**Funny side-note: on the back of Uncle Ray’s chip bags it appears that Uncle Ray always include a story from his past.  We think that he is trying to bestow some of his life lessons on us.  However, we’re guessing that we’re not the only ones who have found it a bit difficult to try and enjoy some delicious potato chips while reading a story about how the chip’s creator and front man almost drowned as a young child…..we’re just saying.

As always, these are our thoughts, we would love to hear what you think. Agree or disagree, let us know.
