While Frozen may have millions of little girls dreaming of being Princess Anna or Queen Elsa, or laughing at a goofy, little snowman named Olaf, we are dreaming of tasty salty snacks!! Utz is trying to get us to love these (limited edition, we assume) white cheddar cheese snowballs, but we can see past their charming Anna and Elsa ploy! That’s why we are here to report that just like Snow Queen Elsa belts out at the crucial turning point of the movie, when it comes to this white cheddar cheese bag, everyone should just “let it go!! Let it go!!”
Overall, we don’t really have too much to say about these. First off, they are a lot smaller than we were anticipating, and definitely, than we are used to in a cheese ball. We’d say that they are roughly the size of a large pea, or a small marble. In other words, it really takes a handful to provide your mouth something to crunch on. Did we mention that they are light as air? Seriously, set only a single cheese snowball on your tongue and we’re guessing you wouldn’t even realize it (except for the fact that you already know that you did it…). Funnily enough, the bag exuded quite a bit of funky cheddar cheese aroma, but once the snowballs hit the taste buds, absolutely no flavor at all! A tiny bit of flavorless white cheddar cheese powder, and that’s it!
Overall, quite disappointing. Luckily, one of our Chip Reviewers came up with a great idea for the tiny cheddar cheese snowballs, and asked us all “do you want to build a snowman?!? It doesn’t have to be a snowman. Okay, bye!”
