BIJOU-REVIEW: Popchips – Crazy Hot Potato Chips

Rating: ©©©-3/4 chips  (notable)

Popchips - Crazy HotWhen does a chip become too hot?  You hear ‘spicy’ and you’re usually thinking, these should have some heat.  The words ‘Flamin’ Hot’ typically provide promise of chips, coated in red seasoning, and even more spicy than your usual spicy chip.  But, what about ‘Crazy Hot?!?’  What on earth could ‘Crazy Hot’ level of heat be?!  Well, that’s what we’re here for, to find out!

Apparently ‘Crazy Hot’ actually means that Popchips must be ‘crazy’ if they think that these chips are ‘hot’; but that was probably too long of a flavor title for the bag!

All that being said, the ‘Crazy Hot’ flavor of these chips is not too shabby.  Popchips opted for a sort of hot wings, Cayenne chili with vinegar flavor blend that actually pairs fairly well with their light and crispy potato crisps.  In all honesty we would buy these again.  There’s nothing amazing about them, but they are perfectly enjoyable, despite their lack of ‘hotness’.

As always, these are our thoughts, we would love to hear what you think.  Agree or disagree, let us know.
