There are old school potato chips, and then there are classics. We feel inclined to call West Virginia Potato Chip Co.’s Mister Bee Original Potato Chips the latter because according to what we found online, Mister Bee Potato Chips have been around since the early 1950’s!! If that doesn’t qualify your chip company as a classic, we don’t know what does!!
Truthfully, we don’t really have very much more to say about Mister Bee’s Original Potato Chips. They taste like old school, sorry we mean classic, potato chips. Standard, middle of the road, thickness, with an almost stale like crunch. Not crispy like today’s typical potato chips, but more like they are fried in some different type of oil, or maybe lard or shortening? Either that, or they use an altogether different type of potato or process for their chips. Salt level is moderate. They are plain old perfectly eatable potato chips.
If we were betting folks, we’d put our money on Mister Bee bee-ing around for another 50 years!
As always, these are our thoughts, we would love to hear what you think. Agree or disagree, let us know.
