Boulder Canyon - Turkey & GravyHappy Thanksgiving everyone!  We love this time of year!!!  May we suggest to all of your out there to make sure and take a moment right now, and reflect back on all of those things that you are thankful for from this past year!  2015 has been a great year hasn’t it?!

Now, what better way to celebrate all of this thanks giving than to eat some chips!  And what better chips could we possibly eat than Thanksgiving themed Turkey & Gravy flavored ones!!  Plus we also had some Pumpkin Pie flavored ones for dessert.

For those of you who are unaware, last year Boulder Canyon Foods released a holiday themed 4-pack of Thanksgiving flavored potato chips.  Unfortunately, we were unable to track one of these delicious Thanksgiving Chip Feasts down, and we simply had to read about how others were very impressed by Boulder Canyon’s chips.

To be completely honest, the two Thanksgiving flavors that we would most like to have tried would have been the Cranberry, and the Stuffing flavored chips.  But, as far as we can tell Boulder has opted to stick with the two most common Thanksgiving flavors – Turkey and Pumpkin Pie – and, decided not to re-release the other other two for this holiday season?  Oh well, let’s be thankful anyways!!

Now, we have tasted quite a few chicken flavored chips over the years, but these mark the very first turkey flavored ones!  Woohoo!!  And you know what, we are very happy to report that these turkey chips were not dried out in very the least!  You know what else, these really do sort of taste like chicken.  Boulder Canyon really nails the savory aspect with these chips.  Garlic, and onion flavor the rich meaty bird flavor, which sort of reminded us of a salty bouillon cube.  But where Boulder Canyon really nails the flavor is with the gravy.  There simply is no mistaking that classical, and easily identifiable, herb of sage, that just perfumes the rich and savory gravy seasoning!

We like these chips quite a lot.  Maybe not spot on as far as flavor execution goes, but certainly savory, and tasty.  Now it is time for some Pumpkin Pie for dessert!!  And then of course – a NAP!
