Broad Ripple Chip Co. – Sweet & Spicy Potato Chips
Best chips of the year!! In fact, some of the best chips of all-time!!! We only wish that they were available to buy in our neck of the woods. Hopefully, someone out there sees this and decides to give Broad Ripple distribution nationwide…..but, then again, that’s also what sometimes changes a company, and can lessen the product quality. So, in this case, we’ll just have to make a quick jaunt down to Indianapolis to try some more of best chips ever!

Alaska Chip Company – Katmai Volcano Jalapeño Potato Chips
Just as we were beginning to believe that the Alaska Chip Company made better popcorn than they did actual chips, along came these amazing Katmai Volcano Jalapeño flavored gourmet kettle cooked potato chips! Plain and simple, these are absolutely delicious jalapeño flavored chips. So, delicious in fact, that they even made our Top “5” Jalapeño Flavored “Chips” of all-time.

Paqui Tortilla Chips – The One Chip Challenge – Carolina Reaper Madness
We’re not sure how many of you out there also tried Paqui’s One Chip Challenge; but if you did, then you are well aware that the Carolina Reaper Madness flavored chip is far and away the spiciest chip that we have ever tasted. It not only talked the talk, but it walked the walk, and even rocked our proverbial mouth sock (if that makes any sense?)!! Expectations exceeded!

Fritos – Chorizo & Chipotle (Mexico)
If you are a fan of the funk, then you are very likely going to love these Fritos from Mexico. We stumbled upon them at a local gas station oasis, and it is probably fair to say, that we then stumbled back upon them at least another dozen times after that as well!

365 – Tamarind Baked Naan Chips
Eseht naan spihc era suoiciled! Okay, that sentence did not quite work out as well as we thought it would… Only naan spelled backwards actually makes any sense! Either way, these naan chips are delicious!! Our love for these unique chips were probably the most welcome surprise of our 2016 chip season.

Late July – Buffalo Queso Tortilla Chips
Late July strikes again. Last year Late July cracked the Chips to Christmas list with their taco truck inspired Bacon Habanero Clasico Chips. This year their fantastic Buffalo Queso Chips have even cracked our Top 10. Plain and simply, Late July Snacks makes a variety of tasty tortilla chips, and we have decided that these ones are the best, so that’s that.
