If you’re mind works like ours, then you’ve probably spent countless hours pondering over these questions: “what would bacon flavored Cap’n Crunch taste like?!?” and possibly, “what would you get if you combined two of the greatest breakfast staples – bacon and Cap’n Crunch – into one, handy-dandy, crispy snack?!?” Well, all of our speculating is finally over!!
Frazzles aren’t really the result of ms. bacon and mr. crunch having a child, but if those two did decide to tie the knot and have a babe, we have no doubt that this is what it would look, and definitely taste like. If you haven’t already guessed it, Frazzles are yet another one of the weird snacks given to us by our U.K. buddy Josh at Crisp Nation. So far, we have been most pleased by the amazing selection.
Frazzles are a one-off, corn based, bacon flavored snack. The corn snack pieces are supposed to look like little strips of bacon (and they do in a kiddie kitchen sort of way). Those bacon strips are approximately two inches in length, with a yellowish hue, and two narrow red stripes running the length of the bacon strips. As previously mentioned, we think that they kind of taste like sweet, and salty, bacon flavored Cap’n Crunch. Their texture is not necessarily like puffed corn, but more of a “flaky”, layered corn snack. They definitely exude lots of smoky flavor (which in turn conjures thoughts of bacon), and are very to toss down the hatch, but they are missing a bit of that rich, fatty, meaty, bacon-ness that the great bacon snacks exhibit (which of course didn’t stop us from consuming the entire bag in mere minutes…).
