BIJOU-REVIEW: Kettle Brand Krinkle Cut – Dill Pickle Potato Chips

Rating: ©©©-3/4 chips  (notable)

Kettle Brand KC - Dill PickleWell hello there Kettle Brand!!  It has been a while since we’ve tried anything new from you, and even longer since we tried any new Krinkle Cut style potato chips!

We should probably inform you that when we first spotted Kettle Brand’s new Dill Pickle chips out of the corner of our eye, we were really hoping that Kettle Brand had made the wonderful decision to re-release their fantastically flavored Dill & Sour Cream Krinkle Cut Potato Chips from the early 2000’s!!  Unfortunately, as we took a closer look at the bright green portion of this bag it was very apparent that they had forgotten to include the sour cream (WRONG DECISION, those chips were legendary!!).

We assume that most of you already know that Kettle Brand has some of the thickest, and sturdiest, kettle cooked potato chips on the market.

This particular bag consisted mostly of smaller than normal, wide rippled, whole krinkle cut potato chips.  There was of course the occasional ginormous and oblong one strewn in among the bunch.

Pretty decent potato flavor, with just a touch too much oil.

Kettle Brand’s dill pickle seasoning is nothing special, nothing out of the ordinary, but no complaints either.  A relatively sharp and tangy pickle vinegar mingles effortlessly with a good sprinkling of fragrant dill weed.  Just the right dash of salt balances out the pickle combo.

If you like dill pickle flavored chips then you will be alright with these, but there are definitely more amazing ones available out there!   Just see our All-Time Top 5 Dill Pickle for example!!

As always, these are our thoughts, we would love to hear what you think.  Agree or disagree, let us know.

  2. Just tried these are wow, they are not good. The dill taste was SO overpowering, I don’t know what you could eat these with. I love a good chip and Kettle are my favorites (backyard bbq is my TOP chip of all time) but these were just too much for me. I had a half a chip and threw the bag out.
